Self-knowledge has always been the key to preparing for competition. Knowledge of your attributes, abilities, interests, strengths, weaknesses, and traits is essential to riding the front end of the wave of change into the new century.
“I can do that by myself!” was my familiar exclamation when I was growing up. I always believed that asking for and getting help was a sign of weakness. I didn’t know how wrong I was. I have learned over the course of my life that being pig-headed about not seeking help made whatever task I have faced harder.
One question that gnaws at the gut of all fathers is this, “How can I leave a legacy for my kids?” The written word has power to shape and encourage our children and build a lasting family legacy.

I realize that I am probably going to take one for the team here but I believe having my family in God’s house consistently, to hear God’s word, to worship God, to fellowship, and be discipled is THE GREATEST INVESTMENT I MAKE IN MY FAMILY.
