Everyone wants to have a great family! Unfortunately, for many, family relationships produce a lot of strain – and “great” would not be a word used to characterize them. Still, most parents are doing a good job of building their families – but don’t realize it.
I’m not sure when I started this practice, but it has become a key factor in the progress of my spiritual life. It is the practice of designing and declaring specific confessions over my life and my situations.
As a leader—whether in ministry, work, sports or any worthwhile endeavor—your goal should be to actively develop a culture of encouragement. Another way of stating this is that we want to build a “Barnabas Culture.”
