Day 103: Haste Leads To Waste

Proverbs 13:11

Dishonest money dwindles away,
but whoever gathers money little by little makes it grow.

Principle

Haste leads to poverty – contentment keeps investments.

It’s a sad reality; within 48-months, most lottery winners are completely bankrupt. Can you imagine the overwhelming disappointment that they must feel? They were granted a fantasy – they were awarded free money; yet, they also saw it dwindle or get swindled away.

Wealth not earned but won in haste or unjustly or from the production of things for vain or detrimental use such riches will dwindle, but he who gathers little by little will increase his riches.

Recently, I read about a man who had left his fortune to charity. The most surprising truth was the man had worked his entire life as a High School janitor. No one knew that the wisest man in the room was the one who dumped the trash.
