Day 115: Persistence

Proverbs 25:15

Patient persistence pierces through indifference;
gentle speech breaks down rigid defenses.

Principle

Energy and persistence can’t be resisted.

Nothing of great value is ever achieved without facing violent opposition. If you’re going to have something in life worth having, it will come at the price of persistence. Persistence is the quality that allows someone to continue doing something or trying to do something even though it is difficult or opposed by other people.

Champions do daily what the average do occasionally. That’s not just our byline; that is a mantra for those who understand persistence. It’s the ability to go beyond what causes others to stop. It’s the motivation to press through and not give up. It’s the second wind of a hard run. It’s the extra rep in the workout. It’s making another sale before calling it the end of the day. Persistence gets you through the pain and displeasure of resistance.
