Day 130: Words Matter

Proverbs 10:11

The mouth of the righteous is a fountain of life, but the mouth of the wicked conceals violence.

Principle

Words matter.

Have you noticed how important words are? Someone just released a tape of a private conversation of the billionaire owner of the NBA Clippers basketball team. Now, he is suspended by the league because of the racially toxic words that he said. Ironically, the same week, he was to receive a lifetime achievement award by the NAACP. He opened his mouth and revealed a dark cave of abuse.

“A good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart, and an evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in his heart. For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of.” – Luke 6:45

The mouth exposes the heart of man. Literally, he is what he speaks. His character is the compilation of his thoughts – those thoughts are expressed through his words.

Great word today, sometimes we don’t realize what an impact we have with our words!

Yep I blew an interview by talking too much about the current situation at my present company. Such a shame I really wanted the job
