Proverbs 3:21-26

Dear friend, guard Clear Thinking and Common Sense with your life;
don’t for a minute lose sight of them.
They’ll keep your soul alive and well,
they’ll keep you fit and attractive.
You’ll travel safely,
you’ll neither tire nor trip.
You’ll take afternoon naps without a worry,
you’ll enjoy a good night’s sleep.
No need to panic over alarms or surprises,
or predictions that doomsday’s just around the corner,
Because God will be right there with you;
he’ll keep you safe and sound.

Principle

God is with you and you’ll be safe and sound.

Have you ever watched videos of people doing the craziest things possible? Things that are certain to cause them pain? Stupid tricks turn out disastrous for them?

Watching these people cause your jaw to drop and your head to shack as you exhale, “What were they thinking?” Actually, they weren’t thinking clearly and don’t practice common sense.

Clear thinking is vital to having a good life. Exercising common sense keeps us safe and sound. It’s another way of describing wisdom for living. Common sense gives you a base of knowledge and lessons learned.

Look at the benefits described in today’s Proverbs – they’ll keep you alive and well, fit and attractive, you’ll travel safely, you’ll have energy, take power naps with no problem and then at night you’ll sleep soundly. If alarms go off – you won’t panic. All of the doomsday scenarios won’t cause you to dig a hole and hide.

There are a lot of benefits that come with gaining wisdom. That’s why it’s important to keep reading Proverbs and becoming a daily champion.

Remember:

Sleep tight.
