Day 158: Hell – The Chambers of Death
Proverbs 7:27
Her house is the way to hell, going down to the chambers of death.
Principle
Hell is real. Don’t go there.
Remember Albert Einstein’s famous quote, “Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.” That pretty much sums up what Proverbs says about adultery. Men and women do it, but they keep expecting different results.
Adultery is not something to trifle with. It is a damnable experience. We are so culturally callused by cheating that it hardly registers in our conscience as a moral deficiency. Actually, our society is no longer repulsed by it – it has become our entertainment.
As I write this, I am aware that many men reading The Daily Champion have committed adultery – my intent is not to condemn but to challenge you to live up to the standard of authentic manhood. Frankly, it would be best if you didn’t experience the hell that you will go through committing adultery. Make no mistake about it – adultery destroys authentic manhood.
You’re better than that! I know that you want the best in life, and you value your family and your relationship with God too much to be flippant with fooling around.
Solomon’s life experience taught him the collateral damage of adultery. He knew that the path of adultery leads to the chambers of death – which is hell.
