Day 163: Man Is A Developer

Proverbs 12:14

From the fruit of their lips, people are filled with good things, and the work of their hands brings them reward.

Principle

Man is a developer and a cultivator by God’s design

To understand a man, you must go back to his original design – which is to say; you must look at Adam.

God allowed the seeds of Eden to remain dormant until He created Adam to cultivate it (see Genesis 2:5). Only after He created Adam did God release the seed, shrubs, and plants to spring up. That tells us a lot about God’s intention in stewardship. God doesn’t carry out His plans haphazardly. He puts everything in order.

God gave man the employment of working the garden of Eden. Even before Adam had a wife, he had a job. The word translated as “work” in Genesis 2:15 is a Hebrew word that means “to labor or dress.” The word translated as “take care of” means to guard, preserve, protect, and celebrate.

Man is a developer and a cultivator by God’s design. Deep within the desire of a man is the appetite to improve whatever he touches.

The man cultivates his wife with his words. His words work just as seed works. You sow a seed for a determined harvest.  A man speaks words that will come to flourish in his wife.

The idea of cultivating your wife has amazing benefits in your life. You are not trying to make her something that she is not. You are simply growing the deep seeds of greatness within her.

Remember:

It’s a fantasy to expect a future that you haven’t sown a seed to harvest. Click To Tweet
