Day 222: Payday Someday
Proverbs 10:16
The wage of a good person is exuberant life; an evil person ends up with nothing but sin.
Principle
There’s a payday for all men – whether good or evil.
It seems elementary, doesn’t it – if a man is bent toward evil, if his life’s motivation is clocking in every day to do the deeds of darkness – the payoff is death. That’s it. The wage of sin is death.
For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord. – Romans 6:23
Equally as simple is the man who has made it his vocation to do good – if his life’s work is to sharpen his character, to excel in good – his life has an incredible day of reckoning – the exuberant life!
The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life. – John 10:10
When a man invests his life into evil, the thief comes to collect the debt. However, Jesus’ purpose is to pay you a handsome wage for living righteously.
