Day 238: Lazy Smart Aleck
Proverbs 26:16
Lazy people consider themselves smarter than seven wise counselors.
Principle
You can’t tell a lazy man anything – he’s too smart to listen to you.
I’ve been around a few men like this – gluttonous, lazy men – who act like they’re the most intelligent men in the room. These kinds of guys are amazingly arrogant – boastful and demanding. They’re lazy smart alecks.
I am not trying to be cruel, but Proverbs rebukes slothfulness. Men are created for action, not for comfort. I believe the worst invention for men is the Lazy Boy chair. Get up and keep moving.
