Day 256: Leave A Legacy

A good life gets passed on to the grandchildren.
Principle
A good man leaves an inheritance for his children’s children.
One of the passions of authentic manhood is to leave a legacy. It is a deep desire for men to be remembered. Solomon said that God placed eternity within the heart of man – so we desire to leave our mark – to be significant.
I live with one compliment in mind – it helps me make decisions, motivates me to focus on my purpose, and allows me to cast off the things that could restrain me. That compliment is to hear my children tell their children that they serve the God of their father.
My motivation in life is pretty simple – I want to leave a legacy.
