Manly relationships are forged through competition on the field of contest.
Authentic manhood relates to other men differently than what this culture espouses. Men relate shoulder-to-shoulder facing a challenge on the field of the contest – it could be a football field, a baseball field, or even a battlefield, but that is where the men relate.
Iron doesn’t sharpen by the caress but by the clash. The rough edges of a man are sharpened when he is around other men. There is nothing like it – and comparable to no other relationship.
