Day 3: Prolonged Life, Peace, and Prosperity

 

Proverbs 3:1-2

My son, do not forget my teaching,
but keep my commands in your heart,
for they will prolong your life many years
and bring you peace and prosperity.

Principle

Prolonged life, peace, and prosperity: Three amazing benefits are promised to the one who remembers and stores up wisdom.

Think about how amazing these three promises are – prolonged life, peace, and prosperity. I can’t think of anything that people want more than them. That’s a pretty amazing promise; yet, that’s the promise of hearing and keeping the commands of wisdom in your heart.

Why the heart? Because it is with the heart that you believe and out of it flows the issues of life. What you store in your heart is what will be expressed. When you’re under pressure, you’re going to want to express wisdom.

P.S. The word prosperity doesn’t equate to a dollar amount. It simply means, “your journey will go well with you.”
