Day 323: The Simpleminded Learn from Pain
Proverbs 19:25
If you punish a mocker, the simpleminded will learn a lesson;
if you correct the wise, they will be all the wiser.
Principle
The simpleminded only learn through the pain of punishment.
It doesn’t have to be this way, but many people are so dull to learn that the only lesson that they will heed is when they experience pain. It’s an endless cycle of stupidity and punishment.
The wise receive correction for the mistakes of others. The foolish only learn from pain.
I look for every opportunity to read biographies and learn from the life experiences of others — they become mentors to me. You will either gain wisdom through a mentor or the experience of pain. I recommend mentors.
