Day 333: Mockers Stir Up a City

Proverbs 29:8

Mockers stir up a city, but the wise turn away anger.

Principle

Mockers spew out their violence without regard for those injured.

When there is injustice, people have a right to protest peacefully and raise the volume of their voices to express their concerns; however, there are evil people who oppose for profit. They’re mockers.

When mockers stir up a city, they’re not looking for the good of those who are rightfully protesting—they take advantage of other people’s pains for personal gain. They add insult to injury.

When a city is in turmoil, a wise leader must speak with gentle wisdom to disquiet the mockers, heal the wounded, and bring justice to the injured.
