Multiply Your Resources
Life Lesson 007
I just got off the phone with a very successful entrepreneur; he shared with me an earlier conversation that he had with another man. The man told him why he couldn’t grow his business with what little that he had to start.
I have heard men grumble for years against those “big corporations” and “big banks with all the money” or “the one-percenters.” Rather than grumble and give up, why not multiply your resources?
So, how do you grow your business when you have nothing?
Jesus demonstrated some key lessons by feeding the multitude. Obviously, this is an amazing miracle, but very few take the time to look at the process of the miracle. There are some amazingly practical things that Jesus did.
Get the full picture by reading John 6:1-13.
Consider the crisis.
Jesus saw that 5,000 men were going get pretty hungry and anticipated their appetites were going to get the best of them.
Count the cost.
Jesus challenged Phillip to go and buy enough food for the multitude. Phillip exasperatedly said, “It would take six months of wages to give just a bite to each man.”
Take an inventory.
Evaluate what you presently have. Andrew spoke up, “Here’s some loaves and a couple of fish, but how far is that going to go?”
Put things in order.
Jesus instructed his guys to have everything organized.
Do not despise small beginnings.
Speak the blessing over the insignificant resources.
Satisfy your customers.
You can have anything that you want when you help enough people get what they want.
Gather the fragments.
Let nothing go to waste. Be prudent with the blessing.
What would you be forced to do if your dream came true? If you had all of the business that you wanted, how many employees? What systems? What supplies?
